Ladies and Gentlemen,

In the last seventy years, the misguided USA foreign policy towards Africa has been the main cause of war, humanitarian crisis and misery in Africa in general and the Horn of Africa in particular. Not only has USA shaped the breeding ground for violence and mayhem, but also they actively participated in the disasters that our grandfathers, father and now us are facing in the Horn of Africa. We must act to stop these reckless interventions of USA and we must say enough is enough and must say #NoMore USA intervention, #NoMore state sponsored terrorism.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

In the last two decades, we have witnessed the mushrooming of conflict entrepreneurs in Europe and USA, increasing dependency of global media to fake news and alternative truth to attract viewers, and the boat and cyclical sanctions of EU and USA administration to bring about regime change in Africa. In pursuit of the regime change agenda, the USA and EU have caused immeasurable misery, humanitarian crises, and disruption of social and economic fabric of African societies and created a fertile environment for terrorism. As many African countries, Eritrea was at the receiving end of these reckless actions from the west.

It is to stop these unprovoked actions that British Eritreans have been calling UK government and EU to respect the right of the people of Horn of Africa to live in peace, to restrain TPLF’s belligerency and to support the people of Horn of Africa to address the root causes of war, famine and humanitarian crisis. Not only had USA and Europe chose to strangle Eritrea by means of sanctions, but also they supported the corrupt, war-mongering, ethnocentric TPLF led Ethiopian government with economic, military and finance. The punitive sanctions that was imposed on Eritrea under false pretext had caused immeasurable misery to Eritrean people, heavy burden and economic hardship to Eritrean society for more than twenty years and strangulated the promising economy of Eritrea.

Yet again USA and Europe have imposed the unjust, unlawful and disgraceful punitive sanctions in the middle COVID 19 to maximise the suffering of Eritrean people so us to force him in their regime change agenda.

We are here therefore to deplore these punitive sanctions that have imposed on Eritrea by Biden Administration and EU against Eritrea, and to call to all peace loving people to condemn these sanctions that are maliciously designed to cripple Eritrean economy, degrade Eritrea’s ability to fulfil Eritrean aspiration of resolving social and economic needs.

It is now clear and proved beyond any doubt that the terrorist leaders of TPLF and their reckless criminal actions have caused the humanitarian crisis in northern Ethiopia, it is the belligerent, grandiose and arrogant mind set of their leaders that prolonged and extended the suffering of the people of the Horn of Africa. It is the terrorist TPLF that have been engages in genocide in the Horn of Africa. It is the warmongering TPLF and their handlers in Europe and USA who are weaponising famine and hardship. Sanctioning Eritrea is therefore scapegoating, cover up of TPLF atrocities and genocides. It is hay time to say #NoMore to TPLF in the Horn of Africa

Appeasing terrorists can only lead to more crimes by those terror groups. We demand those who committed heinous crime against humanity, involved in terrorist act, and are killing, looting and destroying farmer’s crop to starve them to justice. We call USA, EU and UK who have interest in peace and stability of the Horn of Africa freeze the billions of dollars that have been siphoned and snatched from poor people of Ethiopia by TPLF and been used now to recruit lobbyists in EU and USA to cover their crime.

We call on Prime Minister Boris Johnson and UK government to support the Peace Agreement between Eritrean and Ethiopia signed in Asmara and Riyadh in 2018 and stand shoulder to shoulder with Ethiopian and Eritrean governments in their effort to bring peace and stability in the Horn of Africa.
